The Hudson Valley Community College men's soccer team put together one of its most complete performances of the year on Wednesday, defeating Clinton Community College 4–0 on the road to secure their fourth shutout of the season.
The Vikings struck first in the 24th minute, when Michael Robyck finished a low shot into the bottom right corner off an assist from Anthony Pezzulo. After carrying the 1–0 advantage into halftime, Hudson Valley broke the game open in the second half.
In the 67th minute, Joseph Davis doubled the lead with a well-placed header off a cross from Robyck. Camryn Curet added a third in the 87th minute, calmly converting a penalty he earned himself. Just two minutes later, Eli Charlebois capped the scoring in the 89th minute, slotting home a pass from Curet to seal the 4–0 win.
Goalkeeper Juan Rivas recorded a rare no-shot shutout, playing all 90 minutes without facing a single shot thanks to a disciplined defensive effort from Cole DiNuzzo, Corbet Hallberg, Miles Heggen, and the midfield unit.
Hudson Valley played with intensity throughout, though the physical match saw four yellow cards issued to the Vikings — Robyck (33'), Najtellari (54'), Pezzulo (63'), and Tubon (84').
Hudson Valley returns to action on Monday, October 20, traveling to Mohawk Valley Community College for a 4:00 PM kickoff.
