The Hudson Valley Community College women's volleyball team continued its dominant season Thursday night, sweeping SUNY Orange 3-0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-15) on Senior Night to improve to a perfect 18-0 on the year.
The evening began with the Vikings honoring seniors Gabriella Kholstinin, Emily Coffey, Brooke Poutre, and team manager Cali Buchholz for their dedication and impact on the program.
Captain and setter Gabriella Kholstinin had a historic night, recording 27 assists to become the first player in Hudson Valley volleyball history to reach 1,000 career assists. With that milestone, she also becomes the program's All-Time Career Assist Leader, cementing her legacy as one of the most accomplished Vikings to take the court.
The Vikings showcased their trademark balance and energy throughout the match, using strong serves and consistent attacking to control the pace against the Colts.
Hudson Valley looks to keep its undefeated streak alive when they return to action Saturday, October 11, at 12 p.m. against Mohawk Valley Community College.
