The Hudson Valley Community College women's volleyball team continued its perfect season with a 3-0 sweep over SUNY Adirondack on Tuesday evening. With the win, the Vikings improve to 17-0 overall.
Hudson Valley battled through a competitive opening set before pulling away late for a 25-22 win. The Vikings carried that momentum into the next two sets, dominating play to take them by scores of 25-15 and 25-12.
Hayden LeFever led the Vikings offensively with 11 kills while hitting .429 on the night. Brooke Poutre added seven kills, and Madison LaCouture chipped in six more as Hudson Valley's balanced attack proved too much for the Timberwolves to handle. Defensively, the Vikings kept Adirondack off balance throughout the match, controlling the tempo and limiting errors to maintain their undefeated streak.
The Vikings return to the McDonough Sports Complex on Thursday, October 9, when they host SUNY Orange at 7 p.m. as they look to extend their unbeaten run.
