Women's Soccer Earns 4 All-Mountain Valley Conference Honors
Four members of the Hudson Valley Community College women's soccer team have been recognized by the Mountain Valley Conference for their outstanding performances during the 2025 season. Freshman forward Alessia Salierno and sophomore midfielder Grace Hogan earned First Team All-Conference honors, while sophomore defender/midfielder Brooke Naylor and sophomore defender Maggie VanDyke were named to the Second Team All-Conference.
Salierno, a freshman from Catskill and graduate of Catskill High School, made an immediate impact for the Vikings, leading the team with 11 goals and 3 assists for 25 points. In conference play, she tallied 4 goals and 8 points, including two game-winners. Her pace, finishing ability, and knack for producing in key moments made her one of the top offensive players in the region.
Hogan, a sophomore from Rexford and Shenendehowa High School, joined Salierno on the First Team after another standout season in the midfield. A consistent offensive contributor, Hogan started all 13 games, recording 8 goals and 3 assists for 19 total points. She led the team with 52 shots, showcasing her creativity and leadership in controlling the flow of play.
Naylor, a sophomore from Watervliet and Shaker High School, earned Second Team honors after a strong two-way season. She appeared in 13 games (12 starts), contributing 5 goals and 1 assist for 11 points, while maintaining a .357 shooting percentage. Her ability to play multiple roles—both defensively and in attack—made her one of the most versatile players on the field.
VanDyke, a sophomore from Schenectady and Colonie High School, rounded out the Viking honorees with Second Team All-Conference recognition. Starting all 13 games, she anchored Hudson Valley's defense, adding 1 assist and helping the Vikings maintain stability and structure in the back line. Her composure, communication, and smart positioning were key to the team's success against tough regional opponents.
The four All-Conference selections capped off a strong season for the Vikings, who finished 7-5-1 overall and advanced to the NJCAA Region 3 Quarterfinals.
