The Hudson Valley Women's Soccer team earned 3 points on the road Sunday as they faced Community College of Rhode Island.
Viking captain Lauren Foglia opened up the scoring just 8 minutes into the game with a header off a cross from Katelyn Visone. The game remained scoreless for the rest of the first half. Goalie Lily Brennan tallied 8 saves on 9 shots in just her second game playing for the Vikings. Foglia scored her second and final goal of the day in the 78th minute off a curved corner kick. The Vikings went on to win 2-1 over the Knights.
Looking ahead the women's next game is against North Country in Saranac Lake, NY on Wednesday, October 9th at 1PM.
