The Hudson Valley Community College women's soccer team faced Holyoke and were defeated 2-0 during Wednesday's game in Holyoke, MA.
The Vikings fought hard for most of the game but gave up the game's first goal on a penalty from Holyoke just 10 minutes into the game. Trailing early the Vikings fought back and fired 18 shots at the Cougar's keeper with 5 shots on goal. Katie Gross led with 4 shots and 2 on goal. Meaghan Casabonne saved 8 out of 10 shots faced for the full 90 minutes.
The Cougar's Madisyn Davis put the game away by scoring in the 90th minute and bringing the final score to 2-0.
The Vikings look to bounce back in their next game at SUNY Broome on Wednesday, September 25th at 5pm.
