Vikings Post Strong Results at Westchester Conference Match and Hawk Invitational

The Hudson Valley Community College Vikings delivered an impressive weekend on the lanes, highlighted by dominant conference performances on Saturday and multiple All-Tournament honors on Sunday.
At the Westchester Conference Match on Saturday, January 17, the Vikings men's team posted a perfect 6-0 record. Freshman Aaron Mantello led the way with a standout performance, rolling a 717 triple in the opening block of three games and following it up with a 677 in the second block. Salvatore IaVarone provided key support, recording a 600 triple and adding a strong 670 in the second block to help secure the undefeated showing.
The Vikings women's team was equally impressive, finishing the day 4-0 in conference play. Jennifer Doty paced the Vikings with a 259–683 triple in the opening block, while Laney Brown added a 233–627 and Lillie Garneau contributed a 183–500 triple. Doty continued her strong performance in the second block with a 236–690 triple, joined by Alexis Gaudette (230–583) and Brown (211–575) as the Vikings closed out a perfect conference day.
On Sunday, January 18, the Vikings competed at the Hawk Invitational and continued their success. Aidan Rutski earned a spot on the Men's All-Tournament Team. On the women's side, Alexis Gaudette finished first overall and Jennifer Doty placed second, with both earning All-Tournament Team honors.
The strong weekend performances showcased the depth and consistency of the Vikings programs as they continue their season. The Vikings compete again on Friday, January 23rd at Mohawk Valley at 1pm.
