Women's Basketball Drops Road Games at Corning and Genesee

The Hudson Valley Community College women's basketball team suffered a pair of road losses over the weekend, falling to Corning Community College on Friday and Genesee Community College on Saturday.

Corning 58, Hudson Valley 43 (1/31/26)
Hudson Valley was unable to keep pace with Corning in a 58-43 loss on the road. After staying competitive early, the Vikings were limited offensively in the middle quarters as Corning pulled away.

Lila Christensen led Hudson Valley with 12 points, while Sanaiya Adams added seven. Gracemary Baumann and Piper O'Hare each contributed six points, and Alessia Salierno finished with five.

Genesee 67, Hudson Valley 46 (2/1/26)
On Saturday, the Vikings fell 67-46 at Genesee Community College. Genesee built an early advantage and maintained control throughout the contest.

Baumann led the Vikings with 14 points and eight rebounds. Salierno and Adams added eight points apiece, while Piper O'Hare chipped in seven off the bench. Hudson Valley showed balance across the lineup but was unable to overcome Genesee's strong second-half push.

Hudson Valley will look to regroup as the Vikings return to conference play on Monday, February 3, traveling to Herkimer College for a 5 p.m. tipoff.
