The Hudson Valley Community College women's basketball team suffered a pair of home losses over the weekend, falling to Jefferson Community College on Saturday and Onondaga Community College on Sunday. The Vikings move to 8-4 on the season and will return to action on Wednesday, January 21, hosting Fulton-Montgomery at 7 p.m. as part of Louis Coplin Community Day.
Jefferson 68, Hudson Valley 44 (January 17, 2026)
Hudson Valley was unable to find offensive rhythm against Jefferson, falling 68-44 at home. The Cannoneers built a 37-23 halftime lead and maintained control throughout the second half.
Sanaiya Adams led the Vikings with a team-high 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting, while Gracemary Baumann added 11 points. Lila Christensen pulled down nine rebounds to lead Hudson Valley on the glass. The Vikings shot 43.2 percent from the field but were limited to 44 total points as Jefferson's defense forced 30 turnovers.
Onondaga 64, Hudson Valley 44 (January 18, 2026)
On Sunday, the Vikings fell 64-44 to Onondaga Community College. Hudson Valley led 11-5 after the first quarter, but Onondaga used a dominant third quarter to pull away.
Alessia Salierno paced the Vikings with 11 points, while Baumann added 10. Christensen contributed six points, seven rebounds, and two blocks, and Morgan Hayden recorded five points and five steals. Hudson Valley forced 26 turnovers but struggled offensively, shooting 33.3 percent from the field.
The Vikings will look to bounce back on Wednesday, January 21, when they host Fulton-Montgomery at 7 p.m. in a Community Day matchup at home.
