Jordan Climbs Into Top 15 as Vikings Hold Eighth Place at NJCAA National Championship

The Hudson Valley Community College men's golf team remained in eighth place after the second round of the 2026 NJCAA National Championship on Wednesday at Chautauqua Golf Club.
The Vikings posted a team score of 323 (+35) in Round 2 and sit at 638 (+62) through 36 holes of competition. With two rounds remaining, Hudson Valley continues to hold a spot in the top half of the national field.
Steve Jordan once again led the Vikings, carding a three-over-par 75 to move into a tie for 11th place individually at seven-over-par for the tournament. Jordan turned in one of the team's most consistent rounds of the championship, recording pars on 13 holes and positioning himself within striking distance of the tournament's top 10 heading into Thursday.
Tommy Wall followed with a second-round 79 (+7) and is tied for 30th overall at 14-over-par through two rounds. Wall recorded pars on nine holes during his round and remains firmly inside the top 30 entering Day 3.
Logan Gilbo sits tied for 46th place after shooting an 88 (+16) on Wednesday, bringing his tournament total to 167 (+23). Will Jennings improved by eight strokes from his opening round, carding an 81 (+9) to move into a tie for 53rd place at 26-over-par overall.
Nick Walsh rounded out the Viking lineup with a 90 (+18) and is tied for 56th place through 36 holes.
The Vikings return to the course Thursday for the third round of the national championship. Walsh will be the first Hudson Valley golfer to tee off, beginning his round at 9:57 a.m.
With 36 holes still to play, Hudson Valley will look to make a move up the team standings while Jordan continues his pursuit of an All-American finish.
