The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team dropped a hard-fought road contest to North Country Community College, 76–68, on Thursday night.
North Country built a seven-point advantage at halftime, but the Vikings responded with a strong second-half push, scoring 48 points after the break. Despite the rally, Hudson Valley was unable to close the gap as the hosts held on down the stretch.
Julius Reed led all scorers with 21 points, shooting efficiently from the floor and beyond the arc. Kemontae Thawe added 14 points, while Fabian Wheatley provided a spark off the bench with 15 points. Ian Fisher-Layton chipped in seven points, and Jacob Baccaro and Anthony McCray contributed to the effort.
The Vikings return home on Wednesday, February 11, when they host Fulton-Montgomery Community College at 7:00 p.m.
