Men’s Basketball Falls on the Road at Mohawk Valley

The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team fell on the road to Mohawk Valley Community College on Saturday afternoon, 87-72. With the loss, the Vikings move to 0-3 on the season.

Hudson Valley kept things close early but was unable to slow down a strong Mohawk Valley offense in the second half. Despite a balanced effort, the Vikings couldn't overcome the Hawks' scoring runs down the stretch.

The Vikings will look to regroup when they return home on Wednesday, November 12, to host Herkimer College at 7 p.m. in the McDonough Sports Complex, following the women's game at 5 p.m.

Prior to Wednesday's games, Hudson Valley will hold a trophy presentation recognizing the women's basketball team for their third-place finish in the Ron Case Cup standings. In addition, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be hosting a Canned Food Drive during both games. Fans are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item to donate in support of local families in need.
