Vikings Earn Extensive All-Region Honors in 2026 Outdoor Track & Field Season
The Hudson Valley men's and women's outdoor track & field teams capped off a dominant 2026 campaign with Region 3 Championships and a long list of All-Region honors, highlighted by multiple major award winners and event champions across both programs.
The Vikings men captured the 2026 Region 3 Championship, while the women's team also secured the regional title to complete a clean sweep for Hudson Valley. In addition to the team championships, Head Coach Jeoffrey York was named both Men's and Women's Coach of the Year after guiding the Vikings to one of the program's most successful seasons in recent memory.
On the men's side, Alan Arnold earned both Men's Track Athlete of the Year and Men's Track Athlete of the Meet honors following standout performances in the distance events. Arnold claimed regional titles in the 1500 meters, 5000 meters, and 10000 meters while also helping lead the Vikings to victory in the 4x800-meter relay.
Makai Gordon was named Men's Field Athlete of the Year after winning both the high jump and long jump for Hudson Valley.
The Vikings dominated the sprint events as Justice Affinito earned All-Region honors in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash, while Parris Porter captured the regional title in the 400 meters. Nicholas Rushford swept the hurdles events with victories in the 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles and also contributed to the first-place 4x100-meter relay team.
Hudson Valley relay teams continued their dominance throughout the meet, earning regional championships in the men's 4x100-meter relay, 4x400-meter relay, and 4x800-meter relay events.
Additional men's All-Region honorees included Jair Oliva, Darius Simmons, Gavin Vautrin, Yaseen Osmani, and Michael Kleinman for their relay performances.
On the women's side, Ava Dwyer earned Women's Track Athlete of the Meet honors after winning the 800 meters and 3000-meter steeplechase while also helping the Vikings secure the 4x800-meter relay championship.
Hudson Valley showcased its depth across the track with regional champions in nearly every running event. Inara Bradford won the 100 meters, Qimora Johnson captured the 200 meters, and Alana Dickson earned the regional title in the 400 meters.
The Vikings also excelled in distance events as Athena Seebald claimed the 1500 meters and 10000 meters, while Paulina Ostrander earned a regional championship in the 5000 meters.
Hudson Valley relay teams added three more regional titles in the women's 4x100-meter relay, 4x400-meter relay, and 4x800-meter relay events.
In the field events, Makayla Kudlack won the pole vault, Noddy Udeh captured the long jump title, and Meghan Cowles secured a regional championship in the javelin throw.
Additional women's All-Region relay honorees included Emily Wilson and Sanaiya Adams for their contributions to multiple championship relay performances.
